My name is Laura York and I am the founder of The Gluten Free Oven. I started my gluten free journey almost 8 years ago. I was sick with joint pain, nausea, indigestion, and headaches. After many tests that brought no answers, my GI specialist suggested that I try removing gluten from my diet. So, I did. Within just a few weeks, my symptoms started to disappear. And I haven't looked back. For me, a gluten free lifestyle was the answer I needed to heal my body and bring back my vitality. Although in the beginning it was hard, it forced me to look at food in a different way and awoke the inner cook that I never knew was inside me. For 8 years I have experimented with different flours, changed my favorite family recipes into gluten free ones, and devoured much information on the topic.
