It's nice to mix up your potato side dish every now and again! Homemade french fries are quick and easy, and provide a great kid friendly option - even those picky eaters are sure to love them!
French Fries
(Makes 4 servings)
Ingredients:
4 - 5 Yukon gold potatoes
1 tsp salt
1 TBSP olive oil
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2. Wash potatoes, and pat dry
3. Slice potato into round, cutting them in the direction of length, not width.
4. Take each round, and cut into strips
5. Place cut up potatoes into a large bowl, add salt, and toss to coat. Let sit for 5-10 minutes. This will pull moisture from the potatoes.
6. Drain any liquid from the bottom of the bowl and then add the olive oil. Toss to coat.
7. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes. Avoid flipping the potatoes during baking. The fries will be done when the begin to turn golden brown.
8. Serve and enjoy!
